We care about you.
We care about your goals, limitations and needs.
We care about your challenges and are passionate about helping you to embrace and overcome
them.
Which is why we start you off with personal training before group classes.
We used to let folks just sign a waiver “jump” into class if they seemed even remotely fit. What
that did was suck up a lot of the coach’s attention (leaving very little for the other folks in class)
and often resulted in the newcomer feeling confused at best, or overwhelmed and intimidated at
worst.
What we did to remedy this was a standardized, 3 personal training session approach. This
worked well for some people. Others, it was not nearly enough and we found ourselves wishing
that we could spend more time with the person in a 1-on-1 setting.
We are always asking ourselves how we can make fitness more beneficial, effective and
sustainable for our members and community. We have decided that a completely customizable
approach to fitness is the best way that we can set current and prospective members up for
success.
This is how it works:
- You come in for a consultation. We determine a customized amount of Personal Training
sessions based on your experience, history and specific fitness goals.
- We assess you joint by joint to know how to best spend our time during the reminder of your
Personal Training sessions. If you come up with some limited tests we will address that right
away with corrective exercise and/or mobility work.
- We educate you on our core values as a business and what to expect during your time with us.
- We teach you how to squat, deadlift, press, among several other movements that require quite
a bit of instruction and technique or skill. If you know how to do all these things, we further
refine technique.
- After you complete your customized Personal Training sessions you begin a group class
membership.
Even if you have experience lifting weights, playing competitive sports or doing high-intensity
exercise, you start with personal training with us. What we have found is that even though
someone might be very accustomed to working hard in the gym, doesn’t mean that they don’t
have any physical limitations, previous injuries or questionable technique.
Setting you up for success means setting you up to be consistent, safe, and happy at Hardwired
Fitness. We want you to get out of pain (or stay out of pain) and become the fittest version of
yourself so you can live life to the fullest.
